Wayward Prophet Productions is a small, independent game development studio. The company saw its official launch in the spring of 2010, although it existed in concept long before then. Enthusiastic and enterprising, Wayward Prophet aims to deliver enjoyable experiences through thematically innovative projects; or in simpler terms, games that are both fun and unique.

At the moment, Wayward Prophet Productions is owned and operated entirely by yours truly. I am credited in most games as "Sagitar" (a moniker derived from an early project), but my actual identity is David J Grund, a game artist/designer with big dreams stationed in the great city of Chicago, IL.
I have been creating games through every medium imaginable for as long as I can remember, cultivating a variety of skills along the way... creative and technical writing, scripting, pencil art, 3D modeling and animation, graphic design, and web development among them.
Someday soon, I hope to be in a position where I can make a positive impact on the wider gaming community; where I can offer some form of recompense to the medium that has provided me with so much inspiration over the years. I would love for this company to someday grow into an influential force within the gaming industry, accumulating employees and fancy offices along the way. For now, though, I'm happy gathering skills and experience while continuing to design engrossing titles under the Wayward Prophet label.
The best video games seemlessly blend together the marvels of creative storytelling, competitive (and cooperative) sport, and digital technology. The potential there is overwhelming, and as the medium continues to expand and mature, the sky is the limit in terms of how terrific and powerful an experience games can deliver.
Already, games inspire kids and adults alike to pursue bold aspirations. Games allow fantastic escape into otherwise elusive worlds. They bring friends closer together to form lifelong bonds, and transcend the tricky boundaries of politics, generation, nationality and religion in their ability to teach, entertain, and exhilarate. Allow them time to grow and they will simply astound.
Wayward Prophet is my attempt to push along that movement, that mainstream revolution that will see our exciting blend of storytelling and sport transform the world.
